Runaway Prius – Does Toyota know what the problem is?

Unintended acceleration…it sounds like a clinical term, but the terror associated with the problem is anything but.   There have been no reports of Prius’ running out of control…until today that is.

Toyota Recalling Millions More Cars

An update to the runaway Toyota story:  Toyota has finally recalled 2.3 million of it’s vehicles for hundreds of “unintended accelaration” reports, after admitting that the problem may not be floor mats getting stuck under the accelerator.  Check out the Volkswagen Jetta at 3:19, with “smart throttle” technology, which allows the brake to override the throttle.
